Dogs
for Dummies

This is our favorite
general book about owning a dog! A must-read for any about-to-be-dog
owner (even if you're not a dummy!). |

Help for Your Shy
Dog
Deborah Wood |
People do not realize it, but the greatest behavioral issue with
an adult dog placement isn't the aggressive dog, it is the overly
shy dog. There are more of these than I ever would have thought.
We've had several extremely shy dogs in our rescue and have
had to take special care in working with them and placing
them.
I found this book to be very helpful and a great sanity check! |

The Other End of
the Leash
Patricia B. McConnell, Ph.D. |
This excellent book
is well-written, in a style that is a pleasure to read. A book
that more fully explains the interaction between human and dog
and illustrates how to use that understanding to more effectively
communicate with your dog. Not just assumptions and fluff, this
author has a depth of research as the basis for her observations
and conclusions. An extremely valuable tool for owners who want
to more fully understand and enhance their relationship with their
canine companions.
The
